Spectra Lodge was created out of a love of adventurous travel, unique experiences and magical realism. The lodge is a special getaway where one can sleep, dine and relax, in fully themed spaces. Each elegant room is custom designed with its own individual theme. Spectra is the perfect oasis to take a vacation from your travels and be tucked away in the quiet nature of the Andes, with a breathtaking view of Lonquimay Volcano.
Our off the beaten path destination, recommended by Lonely Planet, hosts a multitude of activities to take part in. One could trek in Reserva Nacional Malalcahuello (free), summit Lonquimay Volcano, ski at Corralco Ski Resort, hang out by the river, explore the quaint town of Malalcahuello or relax and take some time off from your adventures in our spacious garden. Spectra has a variety of board games and sporting equipment for you to enjoy. Furthermore, the lodge backs onto an old train line that has been converted into a bike lane. This connects the town of Malalcahuello to the town of Manzanar, and on route you can stop to picnic at a beautiful river side beach and visit a large waterfall. One may choose to borrow one of our bikes for this journey, which are included in the price, or alternatively you could walk, jog, skip or frolic. If you are arriving with a car the incredible Parque Conguillio is only a 40-minute drive away!
Breakfast is included in the reservation, and you can choose from a small a la carte menu. Of course, given advanced notice, we are more than happy to accommodate any dietary needs. While Spectra does not have a communal kitchen for guests to use, we do offer a great value, nightly chefs' menu of international fusion cuisine. On request we can offer full board, for an extra fee. The town of Malalcahuello has many dining options as well.
Spectra Lodge is a 5-minute drive, 15-minute bike ride or 40-minute walk to the town center.
Spectra Lodge Policy & Conditions:
Cancellation policy: 2 days before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
Check in is between 15:00 and 11:30pm.
Check out is at 11am.
We do not accept children under the age of 16.
We do not accept animals; however, we do have a cat and dog on site.
Reception is open from 8am to 11:30pm.
Breakfast is served between 8am and 11am.
You will be charged for any destruction of property, or theft of items.
