Summary: We stayed 1 night at Kau lodge as we transitioned from Patagonia to Chiloé during our travels. We arrived on a rainy Wednesday evening, and to our surprise their cafe is closed weekly on Wednesdays. Their location is not too far from the Plaza de Armas, which has many restaurants and shops near by. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to accomodate an early breakfast for us the next day. Our room was plenty of space for two, and we had an amazing view out to the gulf. Overall exactly what we needed to catch some rest before a full day of travel. One downside for any light sleepers out there is rooms with a view could be a bit noisy from the Avenida Pedro Montt traffic.
