Summary: I'm unable to recommend Hotel Cumbres Lastarria. The hotel is in a great walkable neighborhood. Unfortunately, our advance request for early check-in did not happen (which is important when you're flying from half way around the world). Then we were booked into a room where the mini fridge did not work. The bigger issue is the AC did not work properly (and this was nearly summertime). By the second night, we asked to be moved to a different room. I credit the hotel front desk for honoring this request. At times, the front desk seemed understaffed. We also figured out where to find a nearby supermercado (after a door person/valet told us there were none nearby). I wanted to rate the hotel higher, but these were too many issues.
