Positive: The house itself was nice from the outside and fairly spacious - the rooms upstairs were decent and each room had its own bathroom, big balcony and AC. The compound was also nice, it had a swimming pool (free access) and an area for barbeque (which needs to be booked 2 days in advance though and costs 150 BRL to use). The location was also good, next to the downtown area and to the main road that accesses the city.

Negative: The house smelled bad, maybe due to being closed and in a humid area. It also had mold on the walls in the downstairs room (which was moldy, humid, ugly and not as spacious as the other ones). In several parts on the roof downstairs there were a lot of insects, including spiders and even clothes moths (obviously a risk to all your clothes). Some kitchen utensils were not that well clean and had to be washed before using it. The window of one of the bathrooms on the down floor lacked glass (had only the wooden structure) and wouldn't lock - neither would the door of this bathroom (representing a risk of entry to the house). Some furniture, like the living room couch was really dirty - big stains were clearly visible. In general, the cleaning was very superficial. The worst though were the mice leaving in the roof/attic - we didn't see them, but could hear them every night (their sound would wake us up every night in every room) and had to swipe the floors on the stairs and some rooms every day due to the big amount of their feces on the floor (potentially felt from the roof).
