The famous Jurerê beach is divided into two distinct parts. On one side, a traditional beach, frequented by families. On the other, a beach called Jurerê Internacional, with the fame and atmosphere of Miami Beach.
The right side is made up of summer houses, hotels and inns, frequented by families. Already the left side, is a planned neighborhood, of very high standard. The entire area is taken over by mansions, where it is common to see imported cars, such as Ferraris and Porsches.
In summer, the narrow strip of sand is crowded and the calm, clean sea invites you to take a dip. At night, parties washed down with sparkling wine to the sound of electronic beats are common.
Despite not having limits on the sand, Jurerê beach, located in the north of the island in Florianópolis, is officially divided into the neighborhoods of Jurerê Tradicional and Jurerê Internacional.
This division began in the 1980s, when a construction company created a luxury allotment on the left side of the beach, while the right side was already populated by fishermen and residents.
Jurerê beach has a warm and calm sea in summer. The left side has small waves, while the right side, further to the corner, becomes more still water.
With 3.5 km long, the beach starts at a barrier of rocks, close to Fortaleza São José da Ponta Grossa and ends at a small hill on the right side. The slope of the sand strip is medium and the width varies between 10 and 30 m depending on the point and the tide.
Practically the entire beach has a strip of native vegetation between the beach and the buildings. Access is via the parking lots, where there are wooden walkways that lead to the beach, where there are also showers next to the beach.
Taking a flight is also a great option to go to Floripa, especially for those who live very far from the State of Santa Catarina. The International Airport of Florianópolis/Hercílio Luz, at Av. Dep. Diomício Freitas, 3393 – Carianos receives many tourists every month of the year, after all, the capital is a tourist city at any time of the year. The main airlines offer flights to Hercilio Luz Airport, located in the south of the island, daily.
Arriving at the airport, you can quickly take Av. Dep. Diomício Freitas, to exit at Av. Governador Aderbal Ramos da Silva. You will pass through Rua Dep. Antônio Edu Vieira to Rod. Gov. Aderbal Ramos da Silva in the center.
From there, just take the José Carlos Daux Highway to head towards Jurerê Internacional. After disembarking, transportation to the destination will be required.
